Our Roots

We started from small roots as Kenyan Originals, brewing cider in our shipping container in Nairobi, Kenya, crafting a ‘Muratina’ inspired fruit cider made with real Kenyan ingredients. Over time, we have built strong brand love for our beverages in Kenya, creating, collaborating and winning awards for our crafting. Since then, we have added 58 Gin to our family of brands, pushing the boundaries of Kenyan craft spirits.

We’ve refined our craft over time, building relationships directly with our suppliers, getting to know the best fruit varieties from the best locations so we can create the tastiest and most original products.

While Kenya is our home, we were inspired to spread the message of quality craft beverages beyond our borders. We founded African Originals, a pan-African brand, to help us do that. We have broadened our horizons, now producing and selling African Originals in the United Kingdom to connect the African diaspora, while we are reaching out to countries across Africa, with the ambition to become the continent’s leading craft brand.
